Yard Management System 

Robocom’s Yard Management System is designed to be fully integrated with Robocom's ROC Warehouse Management System, to provide positive tracking of the trailers in the Yard.  Yard Manager uses the latest technologies to arrive, locate, move, track and depart trailers.  Added functions include dock appointment scheduling and carrier access portals.

• Robust Yard Management tool utilizing mobile devices Shuttle trucks, guard shack/welcome center functions and shipping and receiving office functions to control each trailer in the yard
• Arrive function – checks trailer condition, temperature and fuel levels, records carrier and carrier trailer number, captures inbound or outbound load reference number and status
• Locate – system directs the trailer to a dock (hot load) or to a yard location (drop trailer) and track the movement of trailers in the yard
• Shipping and receiving office create move worksets to dock and undock trailers as needed
• Yard Spotter/Shuttle functions to direct the movement of trailers to and from dock, tracking the location of each trailer in the Yard
• Empty trailers flip to available status and may be re-used for outbound loads
• Handles multiple DC’s sharing a Yard and Trailers
• Depart function – checks driver paperwork and trailer seals against the trailer and carrier, captures driver information and updates the status of the trailer
• Trailer Inspection functions ensure inbound and outbound trailers meet food safety requirements
• Added functions to track fuel levels on trailers in the yard and record red tags on trailers that must be taken out of service

• Option to use RFID tags on the trailers and GPS tracking to record the yard location for each trailer
• Carrier interfaces to provide arrival and departure information and reports regarding carrier-owned trailers in the yard
